To understand the current abilities of home automation technology I researched into a range of companies currently creating products into this space, this then abled me to brainstorm potential ways in which this technology could be translated into a mobile application and into a hotel room setting.
Mircosoft IllumiRoom
IllumiRoom from microsoft allows a projector to completely transform a room into an environment that can be recreated on the computer, the projects projects the world into the 3D making it appear realistic, this could be used to transform spaces into news locations making them feel like completely different places.
Phillips Hue
Phillip Hue is a series of lamps and lights connected to a WI-FI network allowing an app to control them in terms of there colour and brightness and also lighting sequences to completely change a rooms appearance and mood.
