BRIEF 10: DEFINE - Wireframes

Splash Screen
Splash Screen featuring App logo and tagline displayed to the user upon launching the app from the home screen while the app is being loaded.

Welcome
Users are initially greeted to a welcome screen which welcomes the users back to the hotel. This screen will be filled with an image background appropriate to the user and hotel. From this screen users can also call the hotel reception or adjust the settings of the app. The app is navigated primarily though swiping between six principle screens, which categorise the different functionality of the app.

Vision
After the welcome screen the user can begin to swipe between the different senses to customise and control the settings of the room. ‘Vision’ allows users to control the visual devices within the room such as content playing on the television, which can be captured from the users at home PVR or from streaming services like Netflix. Additionally the photo frames within the room can be customised to pull photo feeds from social networks or display artwork based on users likes and dislikes.
Sound
Similarly to Vision, sound controls all of the sound outputs within the room allowing users to stream their favourite music and control the alarm clock.
Feel
The Feel functionality refers to how a user physically and emotionally ‘feels’ within the space. Primarily the settings can be mirrored from users settings within their own home so that the hotel room mimics their home environment. However users can opt to customise the lighting and temperature from this screen.
Taste
As the app is aimed to be used by regular visitors of the hotel the app therefore will learn the users preferred types of drink and how they take it, as well as only stocking items in the fridge which cater to the users tastes. This can also be customised prior to the users visit.
Smell
In the same way that the contents of the fridge can be customised, the toiletries can also be customised to suit the users preferences. Additionally the fragrance of the room can also be aligned with fragrances used within the users home.
Contextual Change 1
Allows users to set their alarm and change the sound of their alarm, actions appears as an overlay from the bottom of the screen.
Contextual Change 2
When users want to customise the media within their room they have access to all of their social networks and media services and select only the content they desire.

Moods
The senses used within the app gives users complete control over their environment. However ‘Moods’ enable users to easily change the environment of the room quickly through a set of predetermined settings such as ‘Business’ or ‘Family’ which allows the app and the room to adapt to different occasions and occupants. Additionally there is functionality here to enter a ‘pre trip’ mode to let the user customise their room before their arrival. There is also an electronic ‘Do Not Disturb’ option which users can activate.
Contextual Change 3
Customising the products within their room can be both a simple and quick process by choosing from a range of presets. However users who want to have complete control over the contents of their room also have the option to do this.
